Memories
Micah always identified with a strong hero figure. As a young child he loved to watch and play He-Man. He always directed our play and told me to carry him as Battle Cat, play by his side as Teela, or get beaten by him as Skeletor. He always needed to do what he thought was right, like a hero.
When I went away to college Micah drew me a picture of Robo-Cop to hang up to protect me while I was far away on my own.
When I was in the hospital at death's door, Micah sat up in a chair all night at the foot of my bed rather than go out to find a place to lie down, no matter how much I urged him. He was there, any time I woke up at night and still there in the morning. -- Susan Lee Draper

Micah loved to play with cars in the sandbox behind his house. He liked the Ferrari and Lamborghini cars the most. He loved his G.I. Joe, He-Man, and Star Wars toys He loved snakes and lizards he even sent me a letter shortly after his family moved to California, he drew me a picture it said "Micah, a picture of a heart, and a lizard" He always wanted to go to "Lizard Land" to catch lizards. -- Matt Paystrup

I have a mental picture of him as a young boy. Micah was a sweet soul, but sassy, too. 😉Always holding a He-Man figure or playing with cars and trucks and chasing lizards with his cousins Matt and Nate when he lived near us in Orem. I also remember when we came to visit your family in Burbank and Micah was the king of Super Mario Bros. I loved his energy and his cherubic little face and piercing blue eyes. I remember when Graham was a baby and thinking how he looked like a mini Micah. Micah was a very loving and accepting soul and just had a zest for life that you could feel. I am proud of his choice to be an organ donor, and I look forward to seeing him again. -- Amber Brown

Not many families experience both sides of organ donation as the Lee family has. While all of us would rather have Micah back in a heartbeat, I know he would be proud to save another's life. I remember how absolutely distraught he was that he could not be a living donor for Su years ago. We sat together in the waiting room and he was just steaming that he couldn't save her. That same spirit of giving is allowing him to be someone else's hero this time. -- Janine Price

I went to school with Micah that’s how we knew each other. After high school and while in college I worked at my Aunt’s car wash where Ben was a regular customer. We would chat and joke around. One day Ben came in on a Friday like usual but this time with Micah. I hadn’t seen Micah in a few years since school. I was happy to see him and Ben was like “wait you guys know each other?” Uh yeah we went to school together. That very next week Ben asked me out on a date and we’ve been together ever since.
Micah was the link to give Ben the courage to ask me out. It’s because of him that we are together today and that I’m part of the Lee family. He was best man at our wedding and the closest friend Ben has ever had. He admired Micah and was inspired by his many intriguing thoughts and curiosity. -- Jackie Lee
